Gumslingers: Ascension




'Gumslingers: Ascension' is a couch VS platformer loosely inspired by Towerfall Ascension made for the Global Game Jam 2025.

The theme for the 2025 GGJ was "Bubble". In Gumslingers you race your friends upward in an ever scrolling environment while avoiding the ever rising flood of muck. You do so by consuming gum along the way, building up your gum-body mass extending the duration of time you can blow a bubble and float upward for. If the muck takes you, you transform into a dreaded muck wyrm, allowing you to launch yourself from the muck and trade places with your opponents.

For Gumslingers I was responsible for building out a lot of the environmental assets, FX, and some of the character modeling.
